A series of Peanutisms

We're roleplaying tonight. Peanut has decided I'm the dog Hundley, Mr Veggie is The Man With The Yellow Hat and he's Curious George.

Wedding Buddies

Or that's what he's told me. On our way to school this morning, he told me he was going to go to work so he could get money and buy trains. What a cutie. He's been having a hard time sleeping lately, however last night I noticed that he seem to have taken another verbal Leap.  He also has not been napping however he has not been acting super crabby in the evenings. Tonight he is going to spend the night with grandma and grandpa. They've offered to take him overnight once a month or so. Mr. veggie and I are thinking of going out for pho tonight.

Well, Christmas went well? Yeah? Yeah. Yup. Lot's of family, presents, love, seasonal joy, travel, and all that jazz. But my memory.... uhh.... yeah.

So that wraps that up!

Uncle A came and left. Peanut had a hard time napping while he was here, but who wouldn't, right?! Today though everyone is back in their places, Texans, preschoolers, me in my chair.

It's been news overwhelming style the last few days so we're focusing on all the happies. Yesterday we had squishy smooshy family time, and today I'm making a proper dinner. All sorts of new language is pouring out of Peanut's mouth, it's still scattered and random, much of it I don't understand, but I definitely understood yesterday when he said 'I drink all the ice water' when he didn't want to share MY drink with me. The drink I kindly offered him a sip of. Little snot ;)

Mr Veggie switched locations and is now only 5-10 minutes from home. I greatly approve of this move, in fact I swung by for a few things today and said hello. And it'll be fun when it's not stupid cold outside to go there with Peanut. They did put up a weird stupid red arrow at the main intersection there, so I might do the back way over there to avoid that. Dunno.

Also got our Christmas vacuum today. Hip hip hooray! The living room actually looks clean, it's a little nutso. I missed this. I think I'll save a little bit of vacuuming for Peanut, he likes to do that with me.

I'm good, feeling good. So's really everyone. Hopefully we caught all the bugs already and there's no more illnesses. Just a little hungry, but that's easily remedied.

Taking down the Christmas Tree tomorrow, already took down most of the ornaments. Then we can finish vacuuming in here :)

------ Next Day ------

Well, we're having a cold day I guess. So no preschool. As an added bonus the child fell asleep at 1030, woke up at 6, and snoozed till 7. It's going to be an interesting day. So far we're holding our own (10AM) but I'm sure it won't last.

11AM AND IT DIDN'T We had freakout and freakout, he said he was sooooo sad he needed to go to the doctor. So I told him I'd make him an appointment (for his 4th birthday?) and for now just watch Curious George. He agreed. We'll start up a train video soon and we'll have an early nap time. Gave him some raspberries for now.

1:00 He's napping so hard right now.

18) Last day of School. He was as cute as ever, Papa came with us to pick him up, Peanut said goodbye to everyone and wished them Happy Holidays. He said it so clearly the administrator even teared up she was so proud :)

19) Peanut woke up and stayed in bed, because it was "night time and not sunny time." Super cute, but this new found ability to tell us what time of day it is will soon bite us in the butt.

20) First Christmas, we went to Meemaw's for a yummy dinner and present opening. When we got home and got into bed.... Peanut was suddenly scared of the dark

21) Mr Veggie's split shift, puzzles. Still scared of the dark, but agreed to read a book to the three night lights instead of making me stay in the room.

22) Gym Day, then we saw Santa Claus!!!
